Sheet molding compound for different types of manhole cover

1. Features and main uses

6006: 6006 is a general SMC applicable to the general manhole cover and other products. The final product’s bearing capacity is about 12.5 tons.

6005L: There are glass fiber filaments in 6005L. Before molding, the SMC is placed in different directions to enhance the strength of the warp and weft of the final product.

2004JG: The glass fiber content of 2004JG is relatively high, and it is suitable for finished products with relatively high strength requirements. The final product’s bearing capacity is about 40 tons.

3. Suggested pressing process

Pressing time: In principle, the thickness of the product is about 1 minute per 1mm, which can be adjusted according to the actual situation.

Pressing temperature: upper mold (bright surface of product)/lower mold: 149-152 ℃/140-143 ℃.

Forming pressure: Based on the projected area of the product, it is recommended to apply a pressure of 800T-1000T per square meter.

4. Storage conditions and shelf life:

1. Our packaging is: 1 ton/pallet (±5% difference), sealed with multi-layer PP film packaging, plus aluminium-plated film to prevent the Light Source. The outer layer is packed in multi-layer cartons and fumigation-free pallets. For other packing , please contact our technicians.

2. When transporting, it should comply with the regulations on transportation safety in Chapter 5 of the State Council's" Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals". Protect from the sun and rain.

3. Stored in and keep in a cool, ventilated and dry place below 25°C, avoid fire, keep away from heat and radiation sources, avoid water and prohibit exposure to sunlight and open storage. Under the above storage conditions, from the date of manufacture, SMC storage period is 6 months.
